Multi-Fandom Family Fic Fest!
Right! There seems to be some interest, so here you are! I would be so grateful if you guys were to link and prompt and write and generally make this work. In return, I'll try very hard not to fill up an entire page with Waterloo Road requests.

MULTI-FANDOM FAMILY FIC FEST
This is a commentfic request meme, open to any fandom, with a focus on platonic family relationships! (Whilst this does mean it's more inclined towards filial/sibling etc than spousal relationships (because romance is easier to find in many fandoms than family-fic), it doesn't totally rule the latter out; see point 3, below.) Here's how it's going to work:
- You post prompts! Put the name of the fandom in the subject line and then the prompt in the body. For example:
comment title: Avatar: The Last Airbender
comment body: Sokka and Katara: when they're children, Katara unsuccessfully tries to teach her brother Waterbending.
comment title: Harry Potter
comment body: Fred and George, armed only with a box of joke-shop stock, fight a dragon.
comment title: Star Wars
comment body: The Skywalker family reunion is extremely awkward.
You can post as many prompts as you like, but please make a separate comment for each.
- You read through the prompts others have posted and, if the fancy strikes you, you write what they're looking for! When posting fanfiction, please post it as a reply to the prompt that caught your interest and indicate in some way that it's a fic in the subject line. Anonymous commenting is on if you'd like to use it, but there's no obligation to be anonymous.
- You have fun, ideally!
A few rules and points of explanation (I've rambled on a bit here, so the main points are in bold):
1. Don't worry too much about the definition of 'family'. Characters don't actually have to be related by blood; adoptive and step-relatives are obviously welcome, as are requests about relationships that simply echo family relationships (e.g. the fatherly relationship between Gaius and Merlin, the vaguely siblingish relationship between the Doctor and Donna). Even familyesque relationships that don't actually exist in canon are welcome; if you've always wanted to read about Squall Leonhart adopting Winnie-the-Pooh (and who hasn't?), you can prompt it here.
2. Please, no incest requests. Nothing at all against incest fic, but that's not the purpose of this meme, which was created because it's often quite tricky to find fanfiction exploring platonic family relationships. The only exception is if the relationship is incestuous in canon, in which case knock yourself out.
3. That isn't to say that requests have to be completely gen; romance is fine, so long as there's some exploration of how it affects (or is affected by) platonic family relationships. 'James/Lily: their struggles with raising baby Harry together': no problem. 'Draco Malfoy/Hermione Granger: love blooms when they are trapped in a cardboard box for no good reason' obviously wouldn't fit the meme, as there's no family relationship involved, but 'Draco Malfoy/Hermione Granger: love blooms in a cardboard box and then all hell breaks loose when Draco's father finds out' would absolutely belong here.
If you have any questions, just bring them to this thread.
Right, I think that's it! Request and write away! And please do link this around if you can; the more people we can bring here, the more successful it'll be.

High School Musical-G-can I warn for lack of actual vampires?
"Voice projection? I can do a good battle cry if you need to."
"No," said Sharpay, trying not to sound condescending. "I'm talking about confidence. Walk tall. Stand up straight. You are not alone."
"W-what was that last one?"
"I said, you're not alone. I'm here, all right? To protect you."
Ryan stared at Sharpay blankly.
"I'm being nice to you, Ryan."
"I got that." Ryan rolled his eyes.
"Now take this stake," she said, "and don't be afraid."
"I-I won't." Ryan gulped. "I promise."
Re: High School Musical-G-can I warn for lack of actual vampires?
(Also, I love that there's no question of the fact that Sharpay is going to be protecting him, rather than the other way around.)
