Thank You For Having Us, David.
I grinned the whole way through the final episode of The Bubble. I love that both Hart and Khorsandi are clearly Mitchell/Webb 'shippers. I love that they had cause; 'my David' was the most adorable thing I've heard in weeks. (Mitchell's reaction made me laugh extremely hard.)
Here is the first part of the episode on YouTube; do watch at least up to 3.20 if you would like to see Mitchell and Webb being cute. (The other parts, if you decide to watch the entire thing, are here and here. If you just want to see more Mitchell-and-Webb adorableness, watch from 7.05 to 7.25 on the third part, and 1.30 to 1.40 isn't technically Mitchell and Webb being adorable together but might make you smile.)
Please commission a second series, BBC! And have Robert Webb on again, because it is great when he and Mitchell are together. ALSO, CHARLIE BROOKER. You have missed an amazing opportunity in not having him for this series, but I shall forgive you if you bring him in for the second. If you're worried about finding people he won't want to kill after half an hour in the Bubble, fear not; there's no need to bother with other guests for the week with Brooker, because he and Mitchell will just spend the entire recordingsnogging arguing, same thing.
It was really nice to see the Mitchell-and-Webb friendship on this episode of The Bubble, because their relationship sort of perplexes and worries me on occasion. They talk in interviews sometimes about consciously trying to spend less time together and always being very polite to each other because they're afraid of having a proper row, which sounds a bit stilted and unhealthy, but then they appear together on this and laugh and joke and Webb looks immensely distressed at That Bit in the quickfire round and, awww, they really are friends. ♥
Wait a moment: is Mitchell's wonderfully bickery relationship with Brooker in part because he's having all the arguments with him that he can't have with Webb? Hmmm.
On an entirely unrelated note: here is an amazing orchestral rendition of the Metal Gear Solid 2/3 theme. Even if you're not familiar with Metal Gear Solid (or perhaps especially if you're not familiar with it, because then you won't be familiar with the theme, and the theme is gorgeous), I'd recommend listening to it. I sobbed.

And then Jeremy Clarkson wanted Bill Bailey on his lap on QI. It's been a good night for slash.

The Clarkson/Bailey flirting was fascinatingly odd. I wonder whether we're going to be seeing fanfiction?

I've always thought that this kind of thing was a bit of an exaggeration.
The episode gave me big smiles because of the amount of time the two spent just giggling. Rarely do we hear David's genuine cackle laugh as much as we did in yesterday's Bubble :D

Hee, I love Mitchell's deranged cackle so much. I found a clip on it on YouTube and watched it many a time.

And yes - there absolutely HAS to be a new series with Brooker on there. No questioning it - the BBC needs a programme where Mitchell & Brooker get all
smoochyargumentative and debative. If it's a word, which, if it isn't, it now is.no subject
I would watch every episode seven times.

(David's reaction to 'my David' was AMAZING. One second he has hugely widened eyes and the next he's visibly hiding behind water, and then he's got a slight blush over his forehead?)

ksjfhksjdh that was so awesome. His face!

While trying to find the Bubble on youtube last night, I wound up finding the Robert and Abby ep of All Star Mr and Mrs and they were also very adorable. I have no idea what they were doing on such an odd show, but it was fun to see them interacting and how much they clearly adore each other (and David, who gets mentioned a couple times).

Awww. I suppose, as Mitchell seems to be a bit of a fretter, it would make sense for him to worry about keeping the relationships that are important to him intact.
I, er, may have just watched the Webb parts of that Mr and Mrs episode because of this comment. They are terribly cute!

and it's really difficult to write fic with so few opportunities to grasp his character. He really is a bit of an enigma.(no subject)

There could be fic where Mitchell and Webb are in love and all sweet and adorable and Mitchell's just a little bit frustrated, then he and Charlie Brooker argue a lot and end up kissing, and then David feels terribly guilty, and there's an awkward attempt at a three-way relationship, then they settle on David Mitchell having two boyfriends and Webb and Brooker just being good friends.
I also want fic where they're filming the David Mitchell And His Boyfriends episode of The Bubble (although he'd need another boyfriend) and it turns out there's a ghost in the house.
I've flown Air New Zealand to Tonga before, and yet I guessed completely wrong on that story. Air New Zealand passes out champagne like mad when they're flying you anyway, so it's hard to tell what's an exceptional level of drinking.

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IDEA. Especially Mitchell's guilt, oh my heart. I am staring at the screen and making tiny noises of love.
The David Mitchell And His Boyfriends episode would be an amazing episode. Mitchell should inexplicably visit the Bubble a lot during the runup to filming.

By which I mean, Mitchell and Webb are pretty adorable to watch. I wish there was a TV show where they just played themselves talking about topics submitted by the audience or, if that fails, the news.
Also, that orchestral rendition is amazing. Thank you for posting it!

Also I am completely jealous of Sydneysiders who got to see Eminence. They never came to Melbourne and I'm pretty sure they're not performing any more, at least in the near future. D8
