For Extra Luck, Get Yourself Stuck In The Train Doors On Purpose.
Persona 3 keeps giving me apathetic too-cool-to-care dialogue options and I keep refusing to even consider them. Kosuke Niwa has nothing in his head but fluff and a cheerful desire to please, and I resent this game's attempt to suggest otherwise.
I'm entertained by Kosuke and Yukari getting awkward over almost being seen having a SCANDALOUS HUG.
'Hey, d-do you like the ocean? Um, yeah, I like the ocean too. Did you know triathletes who train at the beach perform better than those who practise indoors?' Akihiko's strategy for trying to pick people up is incredible and I don't see how anyone could resist.
What's the point of trapping all the characters in an abandoned underground facility together if they're just going to beat the Shadow they went there to fight anyway, call for help and immediately get rescued offscreen? (It's possible that the answer is 'fanfiction material'.)
Surprising lack of reaction from Kosuke to learning that one of his teachers is planning to seduce him. Maybe he thinks it's a different teenage Kosuke who also happens to be orphaned and to have transferred to a school in the same town this year.
Akihiko was taking a beating in a battle, and he asked permission to escape! 'I can't hold out much longer; can you manage without me?' I didn't know party members could do that; that's a really interesting touch!
Do Yukari and Junpei not get along, or do they get along really well? It's surprisingly hard to tell the difference. Come to think of it, this game's successors also have close but antagonistic boy-girl friendships: Yosuke and Chie, Ryuji and Ann.
'Sometimes, that girl over there who's stalking me loses my trail. Then what...? I don't know why, but I get anxious when that happens. Wait a sec... Am I obsessed with her, too...?' I am suddenly FASCINATED by these two nameless NPCs.
Terrible dilemma: this game has introduced a dog who can join my battle team. But I already have a team I'm happy with: Kosuke, Yukari, Akihiko and Mitsuru. But I want the dog!
I suspect I'll stick with my current team, but, if someone does get supplanted by the dog, it'll probably be Mitsuru. She seems to have slightly different 'act freely' AI to everyone else. When we're facing enemies that are weak to lightning, Akihiko will knock them all down with his lightning magic, like the good boy he is. When we're facing enemies that are weak to ice, there's at least a forty percent chance that Mitsuru will ignore her own ice abilities and run over to stab them in the face.
