Isn't My Personality Just The Worst?

I've finished the hundred days of The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy and hit the credits!

I'm sure it's totally fine that the invaders have human voices and they're all begging for mercy. I'm sure these are just mindless monsters and we don't have to worry about this.

Tem and I were very confused when the game briefly turned into a different style of visual novel.

We were not at all confused when Eito betrayed us; we had viewed him with suspicion for a long time! There was clearly a traitor among us, given events like the fire in the fridge and the release of the prisoner, and Eito, as our boyfriend, was an appropriately dramatic candidate. Then he started going 'let's just stop fighting' and 'hey, for totally innocuous reasons, why don't we break down the door we're supposed to be protecting?' and we went 'oh, you are definitely bad news.'

I'm a little sorry that Eito's friendship with us was wholly feigned. I was really hoping he'd betrayed us while also loving us. Fictional betrayals are a lot more fun when the traitor is conflicted about it!

I do enjoy that the twist, rather than 'one of our allies is actually an invader', is 'one of our allies is, in fact, a regular person, but was unfortunately drafted into the fight to save humanity when he absolutely hates humans'.

The biggest problem with Eito's betrayal is that he's my favourite combat unit and I'd poured a lot of upgrades into him. Can't believe I had to fight the final boss without Eito on my team, on account of Eito being the final boss.

Very pleased that all the remaining kids end up isolated and miserable, watching the last few days of their lives count down, i.e. perfect shipping conditions.

Yugamu: So, now what do we do?
Riona: I think you should all sadly bang.
Rei: That's your answer to everything.
Ginger: Well, is she wrong?
Tem: I mean, we've never sadly banged.
Rei: Do you think we should all sadly bang, Riona?
Riona: Well, we've never been in this specific situation.
Rei: If we were in this specific situation, would you think we should sadly bang?
Riona: I guess we'll find out.
All: WHAT, WHAT DO YOU KNOW THAT WE DON'T

Takumi: As I moaned from the intense heat running through my body, I finally stopped resisting it.
Riona: I think he's sadly banging all by himself.
Tem: I mean, we've all been there.

Can't wait to discover what absolute bullshit awaits post-credits!

Riona: Is there anything in particular you think I should include in my Dreamwidth post about The Hundred Line?
Rei: It's a weird game. Riona is going to write a lot of weird sad orgies about it.
Riona: I think that's already implied in what I've written.
